While you can use a variety of mulch from double shredded to even wood chips for your play grounds we recommend a special blend which we get from local companies like PanoramaPayDirt in Earlysville, VA. These clean wood chips are ground to the American Society for Testing and Material (ASTM) recommended specifications for play spaces. This playground mulch is ground through 1.5” screens, is very light in color, and has a shredded consistency of a shredded material.
